SHIFT: EA Goes Big at E3 2009

E3 -- the Electronic Entertainment Expo -- is returning to its old format, featuring over 150 game publishers, booth babes and hundreds of games. EA is returning en masse, bringing games for everything from the iPhone to the PS3.

The event is being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 2nd through June 4th. The 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 Expo) is expecting an attendance of 40,000.

"This event will unveil and showcase the latest in outstanding entertainment, creativity and innovation. Everyone interested in the computer and video game industry will be in Los Angeles this June," said Michael D. Gallagher, president and CEO of the ESA, the trade association that represents U.S. computer and video game publishers and owns the E3 Expo.

EA will have a big presence at the event and unveil all sorts of new games and new game features, including an inside look at career mode in Need for Speed: SHIFT.

"If you have a career in games or just love to play them, get out your calendar and circle the first week of June," said Jeff Brown from EA. "The E3 Expo is bigger and better this year and for EA, the expanded format means we'll have more demos, announcements, promotions and blockbuster games than ever before."
